Access permits and Gate Procedures
Access Permits
Arriving to ISPS area requires a valid access permit. Every person entering the port area must, upon request, present proof of identity and state the reason for their visit. Access permits are issued through the organization on whose behalf or for whose needs the visit to the port takes place. A permit may be issued for a person or a vehicle and it may be permanent, fixed-term or single-use.
Gate Procedures
Devices and instructions in the gate area that require attention (contact information sign, LED guidance display, traffic light, license plate camera, stop line, and instruction sign).
Arrival at the Gate and Barrier
The driver must stop the vehicle at the automatic identification point and ensure that identification is successful before entering the area. All signs, traffic lights and display instructions at the gate must be followed. A vehicle must not pass under the barrier before it has opened fully, nor pass the folding gate before it has opened completely. The vehicle must stop at the gate on every entry and entry by following the vehicle in front without stopping is not permitted.
Personal Identification
Any person arriving in the area must be prepared to verify their identity. Upon request, they must also state the purpose of their visit.
Prohibited Conduct
Entering the ISPS area without an access permit is prohibited. Driving into the area behind another vehicle without stopping is prohibited. Interfering with security equipment, damaging it, or forcing entry through the gate is strictly forbidden. Allowing another vehicle to enter the area using one’s own access permit is also prohibited.
Problem Situations
If the gate or barrier does not open, it must be reported without delay, primarily to the permit issuer and secondarily to Port Control. No one may remain in the gate area in a way that blocks or endangers other traffic.
Pedestrian Access
Pedestrian access is allowed only through the designated personnel gates.
Safety in the Gate Area
All warning signs and safety instructions in the gate area must be observed. The gate closes automatically after each vehicle. Only one vehicle may pass through the gate per entry. Gate areas are monitored by recording camera surveillance, and any misuse will be addressed. Any damage caused by misuse is subject to liability for compensation.
Port Control
Port Control monitors access control and gate operations around the clock and provides additional instructions when necessary.
