The purpose of Port of Naantali Ltd is to maintain and continuously develop the port infrastructure, business processes, and the operating conditions for regionally port-dependent industry and trade-related transport in a financially sustainable manner.<\/p>\n

The port company provides vessel traffic services, leases warehouse facilities and terminal areas, and commercially utilizes its various route alternatives and strategic logistics location.<\/p>\n

Operations are guided and supported by the company\u2019s management system, which consists of procedures for quality management, environmental management, security and safety, risk management, information security, and business continuity management. Through the management system, we ensure compliance, efficiency, continuous improvement, and resilience in a changing operating environment.<\/p>\n

Management and the entire organization are committed to implementing this policy, managing risks, continuously improving operations, and fulfilling security, information security, data protection, and business continuity requirements.<\/p>\n

Quality<\/h2>\n

The port enables a diverse range of industrial activities and supporting service businesses within its area.<\/p>\n

We monitor changes in the business environment and develop our operations by listening to customer needs. We utilize the best available, economically justified, and appropriate technologies.<\/p>\n

Our organization is continuously developed in terms of competence and structure to meet the requirements of a changing operating environment.<\/p>\n

Business development activities are carried out in accordance with the principles of continuous improvement and sustainable development, while taking into account environmental, safety, security, information security, and business continuity aspects as well as applicable laws, regulations, and requirements. We expect the same commitment from our partners and service providers.<\/p>\n

Enhancing the effectiveness of the management system and evaluating its outcomes are integral parts of our development work. Through this, we strive to ensure the efficiency of our business processes, the quality of port services, and the continuity of operations.<\/p>\n

Environment<\/h2>\n

Shipping and port operations have environmental impacts, but we continuously develop our activities to reduce these impacts and improve environmental performance. Port operations are governed by an environmental permit that regulates noise levels, emissions, and waste management.<\/p>\n

Port of Naantali recognizes its responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. Environmental aspects are considered and environmental impacts are monitored when developing port operations and implementing projects. The same commitment is required from partners and subcontractors.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s strategy defines environmental objectives and performance indicators. Our goal is to continuously reduce the environmental impacts arising from the nature of port operations. Port of Naantali monitors environmental conditions within its operational area, reports observations and changes regularly, and communicates openly and well in advance about plans that may have environmental impacts. Port personnel and stakeholders are aware of the environmental impacts of their activities and take environmental considerations into account in their work.<\/p>\n

To ensure positive development, the port maintains good relationships with authorities, customers, local operators, and residents. In developing environmental performance, the views of various stakeholders are considered, and cooperation is carried out with both national and international organizations.<\/p>\n

Security, Safety and Resilience<\/h2>\n

In port operations, security is ensured through protective measures against accidents, damage, and criminal activity (Security), as well as through safeguarding occupational health and safety (Safety). Both are fundamental principles guiding the operations of Port of Naantali.<\/p>\n

Our security procedures comply with the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code as well as national regulations governing the security of ships and port facilities serving them.<\/p>\n

We continuously develop our security arrangements by participating in industry working groups and exercises and by implementing the security, surveillance, and protection technologies best suited to our operating environment.<\/p>\n

We regard information, information systems, communication networks, and digital services as critical business resources. We continuously strengthen cybersecurity and information security to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, as well as the uninterrupted continuity of port operations. We comply with legislation and regulatory requirements concerning data protection, cybersecurity, and the protection of critical functions.<\/p>\n

We identify the services, processes, information, systems, transport chains, resources, and dependencies that are critical to our operations. We systematically develop business continuity, preparedness, recovery capability, and resilience to ensure the continuity of port operations under all circumstances.<\/p>\n

We promote occupational safety, employee well-being, competence, and security awareness among our personnel and require the same commitment from our partners. Security and safety competence are maintained through training, exercises, and continuous operational development.
